Big things are happening in Miller Park!

Food trucks are back in Miller Park on July 24 and July 31! 

During lunch hours on July 24, Bopcha and Chef Chasty Seafood & More will be available. Also on July 31, you can enjoy Freaky Funnels & Windy City Eatz.

Starting August 1, more fun is on the way.

1. New Seating with Shade

Whether you’re meeting friends for lunch or enjoying a quiet afternoon reading, these comfortable spaces will provide shade from the summer sun.

2. Music from the Main Stage

There will now be live music performances right at the park’s main stage, offering performances that promise something for everyone! 

3. Games and Activities Galore

Fun and games await park visitors of all ages! Engage in friendly competitions with activities such as ping pong, cornhole, table top chess & checkers, and spike ball. 

4. Additional Cleaning and Maintenance Services

Beginning August 1, the DCA will have an Ambassador placed at Miller Park daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. This will allow us to engage with visitors, add games and activities to activate this park, and connect our unhoused population with direct services. Daily upkeep will include additional restroom maintenance and overall park cleanliness. 

While Miller Park which is adjacent to our businesses within the district, it has not previously been an area where we provided services, so outside funds have been raised and designated to pay for this service as a pilot program over the next nine weeks. This does not change the district boundaries. 

Miller Park is centrally located and is often assumed to be part of the District, so we believe this benefits the District as a whole and helps us meet our goal of providing a safe and welcoming environment for all downtown.
