Steve Brookes

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Steve Brookes has served as executive director of the Downtown Chattanooga Alliance since April 2020. In this role, he leads the organization by overseeing the enhanced clean, safe, and beautification services provided by DCA.

After an extensive search, DCA selected Steve because of his passion for helping others and dedication to meeting the needs of the community. He is familiar with the fast-paced industry and brings his experience working in large cities to the Chattanooga team.

Steve graduated from Elon University in North Carolina in 2001. He started his career in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he was the operations manager for the American Hospitality Academy. He also worked at the Waterfront Partnership and Downtown Santa Monica, Inc.

Beginning in 2011, he worked with the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District.
