Meet the Downtown Chattanooga Alliance

We’re the Business Improvement District right here in Chattanooga and we’re dedicated to keeping Downtown clean, safe and inviting for all.

You know that feeling when someone texts you that they are stopping by and you look around and realize your place is a mess? Not in Downtown! Chattanooga has a team of folks making sure Downtown is always ready for our residents, employees, shoppers, tourist, and business owners! Our ambassador program is active 7 days a week, keeping Downtown safe, clean, and welcoming!

Downtown workers, residents, and visitors are invited to use this service.

Call 423.206.4200 to request an ambassador to walk you to or from your car any time during these hours:

Monday–Thursday | 6AM–8PM
Friday–Saturday | 6AM–10PM

Please give our ambassadors 20 minutes to arrive at the requested location. Door to door service only, ambassadors do not enter buildings or parking garages.

Mission Statement

The Downtown Chattanooga Alliance works to ensure the beautification, cleanliness and safety of Chattanooga’s Business Improvement District. We accomplish this mission by:

  1. Cleaning streets, sidewalks, and other public spaces within the district on a scheduled basis;

  2. Planting and maintaining seasonal shrubs and flowers within the district;

  3. Directing residents and visitors who need help navigating the district;

  4. Training and managing a team of ambassadors to do the work;

  5. Collaborating with other agencies and organizations that provide services in and around the
    district;

  6. Convening conversations relevant to the health and well-being of the district;

  7. Communicating the work of the DCA to its members and the broader community; and

  8. Serving as responsible stewards of the funding generated from the CBID stakeholders.

Vision Statement

The Central Business Improvement District is alive with local residents and visitors who are attracted to an area that is:

  • well-maintained with clean streets, sidewalks and public spaces;

  • beautifully adorned with seasonal flowers and shrubs and public art;

  • well-animated with family-friendly entertainment, colorful and comprehensible banners and
    signage, and inviting businesses and restaurants;

  • and safe because of the reassuring presence of approachable and helpful ambassadors and
    peace officers.
