Business Spotlight: Cherry Street Tavern
Cherry Street Tavern is a British-style pub and music venue that’s open 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday-Thursday and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday-Saturday. Located at 719 Cherry Street, it’s the perfect spot to stop in for dinner, drinks, and live music during a night out in Downtown Chattanooga.
“We’ve been open for just slightly over a year now,” said Cherry Street Tavern owner George MacEwan. “We wanted to open Downtown because we believe this area to be the true heart of the city, and we genuinely love being a part of a thriving community.”
Cherry Street Tavern has something for everyone to enjoy with frequent live music from all different genres, open mic nights, and Tavern Trivia nights. Typically, bands perform at the pub multiple times during the week.
They offer a variety of food including tavern pizza, sausage roll bites, turkish pickles, and more. Their most popular menu item is “The Five Dollar Tavern Burger,” a classic burger with tavern sauce that Cherry Street Tavern deems unbeatable. Those looking to grab a drink will find plenty of drafts and signature cocktails such as Cucumber Cooler, Cherry Bomb, Royal Tea, Yuzu Collins, and more.
With the weather warming up, visitors can relax on Cherry Street Tavern’s eccentric patio in Cooper’s Alley. Generally, there are open parking spots on Cherry Street or close by at this time. After 6 p.m. metered parking is free.
