Meet Ambassador Ryan
Q: Can you tell me a little about yourself?
A: I’ve been an Ambassador for almost 3 years and currently work as a Team Lead. I moved down here about 15 months ago once this company opened up in Chattanooga. I came from South Bend, Indiana where I worked as an Ambassador before transferring here.
Q: What is your favorite part about working as an Ambassador?
A: My favorite part is interacting with a bunch of people. I used to hate going to big cities, and now I'm not scared. It's really eye-opening, and you can help change people’s lives. Even seeing how you can help tourists, knowing that you clean up trash and that brings people into Downtown.
Q: What do you want people visiting Downtown to know?
A: I want them to know that they can approach anyone in orange about any question. There are a lot of restaurants besides the main ones and there are a lot of mom and pop shops Downtown. A lot of people don’t know they can approach someone in orange, and if they do know, we can help them with whatever they need. There’s also free parking after 6 p.m., and most people don’t realize that.
Q: What is one of your favorite Downtown attractions, views, businesses, etc.?
A: I really like the Tomorrow Building and the area surrounding it. I went to Jack Brown’s the other day, and they had really good food and a great atmosphere. The scenery in Patten Square is really nice. I never thought it would get so busy there, but there are fun events that go on in that area. We put in the live fruit trees in Patten Square so people can pick fruit as they’re walking around.
