Business Spotlight: No Hard Feelings
No Hard Feelings, an eccentric, dressed-down cocktail bar focused on having a good time with friends, is located Downtown at 806 Broad Street. The bar started as a pop up bar in downtown Nashville. Down the road, the founders decided they wanted to open a brick-and-mortar location, leading them to look into Chattanooga.
"We knew we wanted to open in a shotgun space, so, with that as our main guideline, we looked at several spaces until we found this rundown hallway of a building here on Broad Street," No Hard Feelings managing partner Matt McPeak said. "It was vacant for 10 years, so it definitely had its fair share of problems, but we made it work, and we really love the way it came together."
No Hard Feelings officially opened in Downtown Chattanooga on August 13, 2021. The bar is open seven nights a week and has a heavy focus on music and drinks that are classically rooted while still being new and exciting. On most weeknights, those stopping into the bar will hear records ranging from Black Sabbath to Waylon Jennings to Mac Miller.
When the bar originally started in Nashville, it operated for three years under Freddy Schwenk and Nashville Bar Alliance to showcase local bartenders and brands. After three years, it got busier and they decided to discontinue the bar. Once the bar relocated to Chattanooga a few years later, it kept its former vibe by showcasing its creative spin on ever-changing classic drinks and a vibrant atmosphere.
The bar is designed to be a place for everyone - from couples who want to grab a drink after eating at a fancy restaurant, to a party of 10 on a pub crawl, to an employee who wants to stop in for a happy hour drink after work.
This friendly neighborhood bar has an everyday happy hour from 5-6:30 p.m. Currently, the menu features creative cocktails with names like "Shade Thrower" and "Trail Mix Mai Tai."
