Lucky for you, it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere inside the BID.

For extra savings, remember that metered parking anywhere in the BID is free after 6 p.m. and all day Sunday. 

Here are some of the best spots inside the Business Improvement District to unwind and indulge in affordable drinks and snacks. 

Cherry Street Tavern (719 Cherry St.)

One of the newest additions to the BID, Cherry Street Tavern, serves cozy food options like Cornish pasties and cottage pie, alongside varied bar selections.  

Thursday from 5 p.m. to close is half-priced wine night, including sangria and Tuscan punch. Monday through Friday happy hour, from 5 to 7 p.m. includes:

  • $5 well drinks

  • $6 call drinks

  • $1 off drafts

Community Pie (850 Market St.)

Pizza is the best antidote to any troubling day. Add drink specials, and we’re sold.

Community Pie drink deals are:

  • ½ price margaritas all day Tuesday

  • $2 off beer flights Monday to Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.

  • ½ price sangria all day Saturday

  • $4 mimosas and Bloody Marys all day Sunday

Leaping Leprechaun (100 Market St.)

 This local Irish pub is a great stop for a variety of food and drink specials. Their weekly drink specials are:

  • $3 El Toro tequila shots on Tuesday (plus 75 cent wings!)

  • $3 whiskey on Wednesday

  • $2 double mimosas at Saturday and Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mayan Kitchen (507 Broad St.)

Mayan Kitchen’s Guatemalan owners serve authentic Latin cuisine in their large space on Broad Street.

Extensive happy hour deals are available Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. including:

  • $3 draft Bud Light

  • $3.50 draft Corona Premier, Modelo, Dos Equis Amber, Lagunitas IPA

  • $4 margaritas, frozen or on the rocks ($8 with Grand Marnier)

  • $4.50 Elenitas Sparkling Mezcal (pineapple jalapeno or passionfruit paloma)

From 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, snag $5 house mojitos. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends, get a $1 mimosa with any brunch entree purchase, plus a $5 flavor of the week mimosa and a selection of $8 brunch drinks, including Bloody Marys and sangria. 

Mellow Mushroom (205 Broad St.)

More crowd-pleasing pizza, please. At Mellow Mushroom from 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays, enjoy half-priced munchies and featured bar specials like $3 drafts and well drinks.

Mexiville (809 Market St. with secondary location on the Northshore)

Sometimes you just need chips, queso and a margarita. Mexiville has you covered from 2 to 6 p.m. every day (even on Saturday and Sunday) with margaritas for $2.95.

Daily food specials are available too, including great taco deals on Monday ($0.99 tacos / $1.50 soft tacos) and Tuesday ($2 tacos).

Puckett’s Chattanooga (2 W Aquarium Way)

You already know Puckett’s as a great place for all your Southern favorites, and now some of your favorite weeknight deals.

Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. (plus extended if you attend Wednesday night trivia), don’t miss:

  • $2 off draft beers

  • $5 mules

  • $5 wines by the glass

  • Half-priced appetizers

Rodizio Grill (439 Broad St.)

In addition to a large selection of high-quality meats and an award-winning salad bar, happy hour at Rodizio is Tuesday to Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., with $5 - $7 cocktails, $3 - $4 beers and $4 house wines. Sit at the bar for a complimentary snack.

Sidebar at Bode (730 Chestnut St.)

Bode might be for tourists, but the bar area is open to locals too.
