Meet Ambassador Mitchell

Q: Can you tell me a little about yourself?

A: I’ve lived in the Chattanooga area my whole life. I just picked up the job, and I’ve been working here for a year now. I never really came Downtown because of the homeless, but now that I’m working with them, I come down here all of the time. It’s kind of crazy that the reason I didn’t come Downtown is the reason that I’m working.

Q: What is your favorite part about working as an Ambassador?

A: I’ve lived here my whole life and never wanted to come Downtown for anything. Now, I know the homeless by name and know their backstories. It’s clean down here, so it’s always good to see what I have done and what the company has done since it’s been open for almost 2 years. I actually want to come down here more than I did before, and I actually get to be the person who cleans it and helps the homeless.

Q:  What do you want people visiting Downtown to know?

A: There are a lot of great mom and pop shops. If someone has never been Downtown, they can walk down Cooper’s Alley. There’s more than one bar Downtown. There’s a lot more to do than what meets the eye.
