Where to Eat Breakfast in Downtown Chattanooga

The Downtown Chattanooga Alliance’s Business Improvement District is full of great breakfast spots. Whether you’re looking for a mom and pop restaurant or a nationally-recognized chain, we’ve put together a list of a few local favorites. Alimentari at the Westin - 801 Pine St.

Open at 6:30 a.m., Alimentari Cucina e Bar is located inside The Westin Chattanooga. Their breakfast menu features options such as farm fresh eggs, chorizo hash, french toast, and more. The restaurant is in a great location right in the heart of the West Village. 

Bantam & Biddy - 728 Market St.

Bantam & Biddy, an Atlanta-based restaurant specializing in Southern home-cooking, has plenty of breakfast options such as omelets, scrambles, breakfast tacos, chicken and biscuits, and more. On their menu, you’ll also find various gluten-free options. The restaurant opens at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday-Sunday. 

Figgy’s - 619 Chestnut St

Located in the West Village, Figgy’s offers breakfast starting at 7 a.m. The restaurant has been around for over 40 years. They make warm and flaky biscuits served with your choice of sausage, ham, or bacon. Their other breakfast specials include croissants, bagels, english muffins, and more. 

Maple Street Biscuit Company - 407 Broad St.

Known for their fresh-made biscuit sandwiches, Maple Street Biscuit Company is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day. Featured on the Food Network, their Squawking Goat is a biscuit sandwich with fried chicken, goat cheese, and pepper jelly. If you’re looking for something lighter, the restaurant also has waffle iron baked omelets. 

Puckett’s - 2 W Aquarium Way

Located right next to the Tennessee Aquarium in Downtown Chattanooga, Puckett’s focuses on providing its customers with great food and Southern hospitality. Their breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily. They have delicious options ranging from skillet cinnamon rolls and fried chicken and apple jacks to breakfast platters and build your own omelets.

Ruby Sunshine - 405 Market St.

Ruby Sunshine, open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., is a popular brunch chain in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga. Their famous biscuits are made from scratch and baked fresh every day. A few of their menu items include french toast bites, seasonal beignets, shrimp and grits, a florentine omelet, and white chocolate bread pudding pancakes. They also offer a variety of coffees, teas, and cocktails including a Bloody Mary and mimosa flights.

Taqueria at the Plaza - 850 Market St.

Located in Miller Plaza, Taqueria Jalisco offers breakfast specials from 8-11 a.m. They have various breakfast burrito options with egg, rice, beans, cheese, pico, lettuce and your choice of meat. Customers can choose from chorizo, bacon, and ham.
