Executive Directors Meeting

September 11, 2024 - 2:00pm

Location: 715 Market St, 2nd Floor Conference Room

1. Call to Order and Minutes Approval

Todd Philips called the meeting to order. Executive Committee members attending were Susan Harris,

Adam Kinsey and Gordon Stalans. Also present was Steve Brookes, Executive Director of the DCA.

The minutes from August 14 th Executive Committee Meeting were approved.

2. Travelers Assistance Program

Steve updated the committee on his Travelers Assistance Program, which helps unhoused individuals get

home to a support network of family and friends. It was discussed how this is a compassionate and

solution-oriented program and is possible by Steve building relationships and trust with people in the BID

footprint.

3. Finance Committee Update

Gordon gave an update on the financials. The DCA is currently in good shape to make it through early

next year until the new assessment bills come in. River City has raised additional funds to cover the costs

of Miller Park through the end of October.

4. Executive Director Update

Steve updated the committee on Miller Park. The first Noon Tunes was last week and had a good-sized

crowd. The annual meeting has been set for November 6 th from 4-5:30PM.
